Thanks for the feedback!
Microgravity Lab, a Microsoft Garage project allows students experience the physics of microgravity and learn about Newton’s laws by leveraging the power of virtual reality. Learning outcomes are augmented by tracking VR interactions from objects in motion and analyzing data through Excel. The VR experience solidifies students’ understanding of physics in microgravity and the data analysis serves as a medium to spark students’ interest in the science behind it all.
Microgravity Lab includes an interactive experiences for the following areas, supported by live data streamed directly to an Excel workbook and a detailed lesson plan.
- Newton’s 2nd Law
- Newton’s 3rd Law
- Conservation of momentum
If your organization supports VR/MR in the classroom and you’d like to try and share feedback on Microgravity Lab, request an invitation to join via this short questionnaire and accessing the Middle School Lesson plan to get started.
